Interested in a Renault Captur?

The Renault Captur has received a sporty-looking new R.S. Line flagship for 2022, as well as more standard equipment on some models.

UPDATE, 02/06/2022 – Renault Australia has announced it’ll be doing a range-wide “price realignment” as of July 1, 2022. This is due to rising shipping costs and an increase in the price of raw materials.

Before on-road pricing for the Captur range is up between $850 and $1210. The 2022 Renault Captur range now starts at $31,300 before on-road costs.

Four models of the Captur are now available in Australia and prices for existing models were initially up by between $1300 and $1900, depending on the trim, after a previous price increase.

The range opens with the Captur Life at $31,300 before on-road costs, and is topped by the Captur R.S. Line that costs $40,800 before on-road costs.

The R.S. Line flagship trim gets sporty exterior and interior design enhancements, including a “Formula 1-inspired” front bumper, but no extra power. It follows the equally sporty-looking Arkana R.S. Line that joined the local range in March 2022.

Mid-range Zen and Intens models now also receive standard adaptive cruise control with stop/go. It was previously a $500 option.

The Captur is currently Renault’s most affordable vehicle in Australia, following the discontinuation of the Clio and Kadjar.

In 2021, Renault sold a total of 533 Captur models according to VFACTS. It was outsold by the likes of the related Nissan Juke (2362 sales), as well as the Toyota Yaris Cross (7828 sales), Volkswagen T-Cross (6104 sales), and Ford Puma (3218 sales).
