Renault Australia has introduced hefty discounts for its small Duster SUV, bringing big savings across the four-variant lineup.

The base Duster Evolution 4×2 is now listed at $29,990 drive-away nationwide – down from its typical list price of $31,990 before on-road costs, and from the previous $34,990 drive-away deal Renault Australia was offering.

The other three variants have each had $5000 knocked off their purchase price, which means the Duster range now tops out at roughly $36,300 drive-away, depending on buyer location.

The deals are available now on new vehicles purchased by private buyers and delivered by December 31, 2026.

Compared to its most direct rival, the Suzuki Jimny, the Duster is now considerably cheaper. The stripped-back Jimny Lite opens Suzuki's off-road range at $31,990 before on-road costs, and the most expensive permanent variant is the Jimny XL auto at $37,490 before on-road costs.

All Duster 4×2 variants are powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 113kW of power and 270Nm of torque. Drive is sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to the front wheels exclusively.

Duster 4×4 variants, meanwhile, switch to a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assistance, producing 96kW and 230Nm. Such models upgrade to all-wheel drive and are available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.
