This week marks the start of 2022 with an iconic automotive event in the Australian calendar – that being Summernats (summer nationals) in Canberra.

For those that have never been, it’s one of the oldest car festivals in the country, having started in 1987 and ran every year except last year due to the pandemic. There is a huge range of events and spectacles ranging from motorkhana, horsepower wars, drift events and yes, of course, burnout competitions as well.

For 2022, the Summernats festival starts on the 6th of January and goes until Sunday the 9th at Exhibition Park in Canberra. There are over 2500 vehicle entrants, two huge concerts and the event’s biggest ever Burnout Masters field.

We are giving away five tickets to our readers, with the best reason about why you want to go to Summernats awarded a digitally downloadable pass (sent via email).

Click here to send us your entry using the Contact Us form. Feel free to post them in the comments as well.

CarExpert will be heading there to check out the event and we hope to potentially catch-up with a few of our readers (and no, Paul won’t be entering any of his cars), so please drop us a note on the Contact Us form if you wish to get in touch with us in Canberra.

Check out the Summernats website here.
