    About the Volkswagen Tiguan

P P purchased this Volkswagen Tiguan used for $58,880 (including all on-road costs) in 2020. P P would buy this car again because: “Most dynamic main stream mid size SUV on the market.”

How reliable has your car been? Tell us about any issues.

No issues with the car after a year of driving, although you do hear stories from current and previous owners about reliability of VW cars in the long run. Also some who swears that no issues for them.

What do you think of the ownership experience with your car?

As a daily driver its been amazing, quick of the mark and driving dynamics are much better than its direct competitors. Can move for a mid size SUV.

Are you happy with the price and features of your car?

Yes, bought it as a ex demo and it came with all the extras included. All the technology that most modern cars have.

What do you think of the performance and economy of your car?

Performance is the best in its class, both in speed and handling. Literally a hot hatch but with disadvantages of the added weight and ride height. Economy of the car is where you’d expect it to be, the claimed combined fuel economy is 8.1L/100kms, I do about 10-12L/100kms.

What do you think of the technology in your car?

Jam packed, everything you can think of on a modern day car this has, probably easier to name what it lacks (wireless carplay and androidauto, wireless charging, cooled seats) than what it is included. Love the digital cockpit, adds a level of sportiness and sophistication.

What do you think of the ride comfort and handling of your car?

The comfort is excellent on long distance touring, the seats are on the firm side of comfortable, ride comfort can be set thanks to its adjustable dampers. Stiffen it up when needed to carve up the Australian B-roads combined with Continentals, it can put a smile on your face.

Do you have any additional comments about your car?

As I’ve said plenty of times, this is the best mid size SUV in it’s class. Also the most expensive when you tick all options and the cost of servicing. But if that doesn’t bother you then the car will reward you with it’s driving dynamics.
