2026 GWM Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV review: Quick drive
9 Months Ago
The GWM Tank 500 is the larger companion to the Tank 300, giving GWM a seven-seat off-road SUV with a more premium and family-focused character. It targets buyers who want towing ability, long-distance comfort and genuine four-wheel-drive credentials, but at a lower price than many established large SUVs. The Tank 500's appeal comes from combining rugged hardware with a high level of equipment, hybrid assistance and a cabin designed for families. It is not as proven in Australia as a LandCruiser Prado or Everest, but it gives buyers a serious-value alternative. For GWM, it helps position the Tank line as more than a niche off-road experiment.
