Sometimes what should be a simple towing recovery doesn't go to plan, and a car ends up at the bottom of a steep embankment.

We’re all familiar with a towing rescue – a stranded car gets pulled to safety by a much more capable vehicle and everyone carries on with their day.
But what happens when a seemingly straightforward procedure literally goes downhill quickly?
That’s exactly what happened in this Gold Coast towing attempt caught on camera.
The video posted to Instagram by user Lilly Louise shows a Nissan Patrol attempting to tow a black Hyundai Getz out of a ditch on a mountain road.
The hatchback is subsequently seen going off the other side of the road and tumbling down an embankment – all while still attached to the Patrol.
Luckily, the stranded vehicle was empty and no one was hurt.
