Suzuki Australia has increased capped-price servicing costs for new vehicles across its entire range.

This servicing price rise occurred in September 2022, which also coincided with a price rise that saw the asking prices for the Suzuki range increase by up to $3500.

The new-generation S-Cross SUV was also launched locally at the same time, and received higher service pricing than its predecessor.

Capped prices per visit are up by up to $130, which means that over the full five years of capped-price servicing a Suzuki is up to $610 more expensive.

A Suzuki Australia spokesperson confirmed the capped-price servicing adjustment is due in part to inflation, rising shipping costs, and parts supply.

The vehicle with the smallest service price rise of five years is the regular Swift Turbo, which is now $480 more expensive at $1955, whereas the vehicle with the greatest increase over five years is the in-demand Jimny, which is now $610 more expensive at $2265.

Service intervals for non-turbocharged Suzuki models remain at 12 months or 15,000km, while turbocharged models continue to have shorter intervals of 12 months or 10,000km.

As previously reported, the Baleno light hatchback has been discontinued in Australia with the Shadow special edition sending off the model.

The Ignis light SUV is now the entry point for the Suzuki Australia range, which now starts at $23,490 drive-away for the GL manual.

Suzuki Australia also recently introduced the flagship Ignis Shadow which is a permanent variant that foreshadows the blacked-out Swift Shadow and Vitara Shadow that’ll soon follow.

The company brought back the factory-fitted 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment units late last year, as it was locally installing larger 9.0-inch non-satellite navigation touchscreens in most cars since October 2021.

Looking to the future, Suzuki Australia has confirmed it’s bringing the Baleno-based Fronx SUV locally. It’s expected to arrive in early 2024.

The company is also bringing the stretched Jimny 5-Door, which will either arrive in late 2023 or early 2024. It’s already taken hundreds of down deposits despite the lack of local pricing and specification details.
