Renault Australia has announced it’ll be doing a range-wide “price realignment” as of July 1, 2022.
“Like many brands here in Australia, rising shipping costs and an increase in the price of raw materials means we’ve had to adjust prices across the range,” said Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey.
“While these price increases are an unfortunate consequence of the ever-changing global world we live in, the Renault range still represents a premium European offering combined with genuine value thanks to its high-levels of safety, technology and cutting-edge design.”

This latest price increase follows a price rise for Renault models besides the Kangoo van, which went into effect from March 1, 2022.
Unlike last time, this price increase includes the whole Renault range. These models are the Renault Captur, Arkana, Koleos, Megane R.S. Trophy, Kangoo, Trafic, and Master.
Prices are up by between $100 for the entire Kangoo van range, to $2210 for the high-performance Megane R.S. Trophy range.
Despite the price rise (and due, presumably, to decent supply) Renault sales have been strong in 2022 under new Ateco management. It’s sold 3151 cars to date this year, a significant improvement over the 1587 it had sold at the same point in 2021.

Renault isn’t alone in raising the prices for its range. Subaru recently upped the prices of some of its models, and brands such as Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Isuzu, Jeep, Kia, Skoda, MG and GWM Haval have done similar in the past.
Since the last price increase, Renault has introduced the new Captur R.S. Line and Arkana R.S. Line flagship models, as well as the Koleos Black Edition.
Renault currently indicates that it has “limited stock” and says customers are encouraged to visit their local Renault dealer before July 1, which is when the new prices come into effect.

Updated 2022 pricing for the Renault range, which will come into force on July 1, is as follows:
Renault Captur
Renault Arkana
Renault Koleos
Renault Megane R.S. Trophy
Renault Kangoo
Renault Trafic
Renault Master
All prices exclude on-road costs.
