Porsche Taycan hits desert and snow in stunning short film

Porsche has put out a stunning promo video showing off its Taycan Cross Turismo electric wagon cutting a swathe through frozen tundra and sandy deserts.

The project is a collaboration between Emmy award-winning director Nicholas Schrunk, Finnish racing car driver Jukka Honkavuori, and 25-year old Chicago drone pilot Johnny FPV.

It kicks off with a drone shot of a hot air balloon, before revealing a twisty little circuit carved through the snow in Levi, Finnish Lapland. This transitions smoothly to a matching circuit made in the Liwa Oasis on the northern edge of the Rub al Khali desert in the UAE.

More than 5000 kilometres as the bird flies and roughly 60 degrees Celsius separate the two locations, hence the -30 and +30 references.
