Ateco Automotive will recall 8643 LDV Deliver 9 vans due to a defect in the fuel system which may cause a fuel leak and potentially lead to a vehicle fire.
It replaces a recall notice for a similar issue affecting almost 12,000 Deliver 9 vans, issued in November 2024.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the low-pressure fuel delivery line may not meet specifications. As a result, it may deteriorate, allowing fuel to potentially leak, resulting in loss of motive power whilst driving and, in the presence of an external ignition source, may result in a vehicle fire,” the recall notice said.
“A loss of motive power and/or vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders, and/or damage to property.”
