Genesis GV70 and GV80 offers extended, luxury SUV prices slashed by thousands

Luxury brand Genesis has extended end-of-financial year discounts of up to $7000 on the petrol GV70 SUV and as much as $10,000 on the GV80 and GV80 Coupe SUVs until July 31, 2026.

The GV70, a rival to the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Audi Q5, is by far Genesis' best-selling model in Australia and attracts discounts of between $4000 and $6000 on eligible 2.5T variants, depending on the age of the vehicle in stock.

Prices start from $80,300 plus on-road costs, before any discounts, for the Advanced grade.

Power comes from a 224kW/422Nm 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Genesis claims a 0-100km/h time of 6.2 seconds and combined fuel consumption of 10.3L/100km.

Genesis is also offering discounts of between $5000 and $7000 on eligible 3.5T variants, which start from $99,728 plus ORCs before discounts and use a 279kW/530Nm 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6, eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The V6 trims a full second from the claimed 0-100km/h sprint, reducing it to 5.2 seconds, while combined fuel consumption rises to 11.3L/100km.

Standard equipment on the GV70 Advance includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, 12-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, and a 27-inch display incorporating the infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster.

Signature variants add 21-inch dark metallic alloy wheels, adaptive high-beam, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and Nappa leather upholstery, among other upgrades.

The discounts apply only to petrol models and aren't available on the GV70 Electrified, which is offered in a single model grade priced from $132,718 before ORCs.

The larger GV80 is available with the same two engines and attracts discounts of between $5000 and $7000 on eligible 2.5T variants, and between $6000 and $10,000 on eligible V6 models – again, with discounts greater for older vehicles in stock.

Pricing starts from $119,928 before ORCs for the GV80 2.5T Signature AWD, while V6 variants start from $131,928 plus ORCs before discounts.

Regardless of engine, the GV80 comes standard with 22-inch alloy wheels, adaptive dampers, a 27-inch combined display, leather upholstery, and power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation and massage.

The V6 also gains an electronic limited-slip differential (LSD), while a six-seat layout with second-row captain's chairs and a fixed centre console is available as a $3000 option.

The GV80 Coupe adds a unique 22-inch wheel design, a bespoke front bumper, flush roof rails, and a rear spoiler.

Carbon-fibre interior trim and an electrically sliding second row are also standard in the GV80 Coupe.

Genesis Australia recently launched its first Magma model, the 478kW GV60 Magma electric performance SUV, with the Magma sub-brand positioned as Genesis' answer to Mercedes-AMG, BMW M and Audi Sport.

It's the flagship of the refreshed GV60 lineup, which is Genesis' smallest SUV and one of its three EVs along with the Electrified GV70 and Electrified G80.
