Far from a modest mid-cycle update, Tesla has done enough to make the Model Y look and feel substantially different, and keep it above the fray – and this is perhaps the most competitive segment in the Australian EV market today.

It still has the flashy technology but minimalist styling Tesla is known for, but the cabin is now a more appealing place to be and the ride is more comfortable.

If rivals had finally caught up to the pre-update Model Y, Tesla has moved the goalposts again.
