Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for its GLB crossover due to an issue with the side spoilers.

“The side spoilers at the tailgate may not have been mounted correctly,” the company says in its recall notice.

“A side spoiler may detach from the vehicle whilst it is being driven. This would increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death of other road users.”

    • A total of 61 vehicles are affected
    • Vehicles were available for sale from May 4, 2020 to March 2, 2021

Mercedes-Benz is contacting owners of all affected vehicles.

If you own one, you’ll need to take it to a Mercedes-Benz dealer for a free inspection and repair.

This recall follows another one issued in December 2020 for GLB models from model year 2020 where the rear spoiler could detach due to improper welding.
