The new BMW 5 Series is a Large Luxury offered in both 4D Sedan and 5D Sedan body styles. Available in Australia from $76,400 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $178,900 for the Base.
There are 2 variants of the 5 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in March of 2009.
Engine options include 3.0L multi-point injection (200kW/315Nm), 4.8L multi-point injection (270kW/490Nm), 2.5L multi-point injection (160kW/250Nm), 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (225kW/400Nm), 4.4L turbo petrol direct injection (300kW/600Nm), 3.0L turbo diesel common rail (170kW/500Nm) and 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (130kW/350Nm). Available with 6-speed automatic or 8-speed automatic transmissions. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
The new 2010 5 Series is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
