The Suzuki Jimny is a tiny four-wheel drive with serious off-road ability and a cult following in Australia. Its ladder-frame chassis, low-range transfer case and compact size make it unusually capable on tight tracks, while its retro styling gives it strong personality. Available in three-door and five-door forms, the Jimny appeals to adventurers, city drivers wanting character and buyers who value simplicity over polish. It is not fast, quiet or spacious by modern SUV standards, and its on-road manners are basic. That is part of the charm. Few new vehicles offer this much off-road credibility, mechanical honesty and visual appeal at such a compact size.
