Originally a spin-off of the Dodge brand in 2010, Ram Trucks (RAM for short) is one of many iconic brands owned by Stellantis - previously known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles - and is a leading American manufacturer of commercial pickup trucks and vans.
In Australia, Ram pickup trucks are imported, remanufactured to right-hand-drive and distributed by Ram Trucks Australia, the only authorised importer and distributor for Ram Trucks in this country. Currently, Ram Trucks Australia is also the only authorised full-volume remanufacturer of right-hand-drive trucks in the world.
Sold alongside 6.7-litre diesel-powered 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty crew-cab variants, the Ram 1500 is Australia's top-selling full-size pickup and will debut a new Hurricane inline petrol six to replace the existing 5.7-litre HEMI V8 when a facelifted model supersedes both the aged DS series and newer DT series by 2025.
