Ram Trucks Australia is recalling over 600 examples of the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 due to an issue with their brakes.
"The brake Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) may fail or malfunction. As a result, the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System may not operate as intended," the company says in its recall notice.
"This may result in a reduced braking performance and a loss of vehicle control.
"A reduction in braking performance and/or a loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users."

CarExpert understands the parts for the fix are due to arrive imminently.
Once these become available, the company will contact affected owners in writing and advise them to schedule an appointment with an authorised dealer to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge.
