Ram Trucks Australia is recalling 73 examples of the Ram 2500 full-size pickup due to a defect that can cause the extra-large pickup's electronic stability control system to malfunction.

“Due to a manufacturing defect in the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may fail. This may result in a loss of vehicle control,” the recall notice said.

“A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

Owners are advised to contact their preferred Ram dealer, where affected vehicles will be inspected and the issue rectified at no charge.

The Ram 2500 and 3500 were both recalled in January 2026 for an issue affecting their ESC systems, which in some cases could lead to the seatbelt pretensioners and airbags not performing as intended.

A previous recall in December 2025 addressed a potential failure of the Ram 2500’s instrument panel cluster.

Concerned owners can also contact an authorised Ram dealer or the Ram Trucks Australia customer centre on 1300 681 655.
