The McLaren 720S is a discontinued Super Series model that became one of the benchmark supercars of its era. It combined a carbon-fibre structure, twin-turbocharged V8 and highly advanced aerodynamics with astonishing acceleration and a surprisingly usable ride. In Australia it appealed to buyers wanting extreme performance without sacrificing road comfort or visibility. The 720S was famous for its pace, but its broader talent was the way it made that speed feel controlled and accessible. Coupe and Spider versions gave buyers different flavours of the same core package. Its replacement may be newer, but the 720S remains a landmark McLaren.
