The new Hyundai Sonata is a medium-sized car offered in a 4D Sedan body style. Available in Australia from $27,990 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the SLX variant and topping out at $36,990 for the Elite.
There are 2 variants of the Sonata available in Australia and this generation went on sale in May of 2006.
Engine options include 2.4L multi-point injection (127kW/225Nm) and 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (110kW/305Nm). Available with 5-speed automatic, 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. All variants feature front-wheel drive.
The new 2009 Sonata is offered with a 5 year, unlimited km warranty.
