Cadillac is a division of the American automobile manufacturer General Motors that designs and builds luxury vehicles founded in 1902 from the remanents of the original Henry Ford Company. It is named after Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, Sieur de Cadillac, who had founded Detroit in 1701
