LDV Deliver 7 pricing undercuts popular van rivals

LDV has finally brought the turbo-diesel Deliver 7 van to Australia, and it’s launched at a competitive price to undercut its established competitors.

The Deliver 7 is a unique case in the van world, having first arrived in battery-electric eDeliver 7 guise before the turbo-diesel version – a traditionally more common choice – was even confirmed for the local market.

Now, LDV has announced pricing for the Deliver 7, including nationwide drive-away prices for both private buyers buyers and ABN holders.

Both drive-away prices undercut the list price (which excludes on-road costs) of almost every direct competitor to the LDV Deliver 7, such as the Hyundai Staria Load (from $46,790), Toyota HiAce (from $50,886), and Ford Transit Custom (from $56,590).

While it is undercut by the LDV G10+ (priced from $36,884 drive-away for private buyers, and $34,990 for ABN holders), the older van has a smaller capacity (in cubic metres), less power and torque, and isn’t as fuel-efficient.

The LDV Deliver 7 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, producing up to 123kW and 390Nm.

Drive is sent to the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission, made by ZF.

LDV claims fuel efficiency of 7.7L/100km, though this is against the now-superseded NEDC lab test cycle. 

A 2000kg braked towing capacity is shared between both short- and long-wheelbase variants, which can carry up to 1295kg/6.3mand 1230kg/7.2m, respectively.
