The electric 2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz is set to arrive with a suite of additional standard features – but the German brand is keeping its lower pricing for the Cargo commercial van and Pro people mover, announced in February 2026.

Volkswagen is adding to the ID. Buzz lineup, with the new Pro+ variant to be made available in both five-seat Short-Wheelbase and seven-seat Long-Wheelbase bodies.

Headlining the updated ID. Buzz Pro is bidirectional charging – allowing the electric vehicle to power a home, known as vehicle-to-home (V2H), as well as sending electricity back into the grid (V2G). However, this is pending local testing.

The ID. Buzz will also receive a revised driver attention monitoring and alert system, front cross-traffic assist, predictive speed limiter, and dynamic road sign display.

Adding to the list of standard equipment is a driving experience selector, stone guards for chassis components, and a two-tone horn.

Despite the changes for the 2027 model, Volkswagen says the ID. Buzz Pro SWB five-seater will continue to be priced at $75,990 before on-road costs, while the seven-seater LWB will be available from $80,990 before on-road costs.

Buyers will also be able to option an infotainment package with satellite navigation, and a new white and red two-tone exterior colour.

Stepping up to the ID. Buzz Pro+ gets you comfort electric front seats with massage function, heated second-row seats, Sequel cloth interior trim in Light Soul-Mistral, 30-colour ambient lighting, Park Assist with memory, satellite navigation, luggage and load platform, net partition with storage boxes, and 20-inch Stockton Silver alloy wheels.

An infotainment package with a Harman Kardon sound system and head-up display can also be optioned, along with a panoramic sunroof with an electrochromic application to act as an opaque shade.

Pricing for the ID. Buzz Pro+ will start at $84,990 before on-road costs for the SWB five-seater, with the LWB seven-seater priced from $89,990 plus on-roads.

Volkswagen has also introduced the optional Goodnight Package for $4390, which adds a bed, window blinds, a camping table, and camping chairs.

Only the performance ID. Buzz GTX LWB seven-seater gets more expensive, increasing by $2000 to $106,990 before on-road costs – however, this comes after a price drop of $4000 announced in early 2026.

The workhorse of the range, the ID. Buzz Cargo SWB three-seater, remains at $69,990 before on-roads – following its drop of $10,000 in February – while still receiving the same additions as the Pro, though wireless smartphone charging and a satellite navigation system can now be optioned.

The ID. Buzz Pro, Pro+, and Cargo are all powered by a 210kW/560Nm electric motor driving the rear wheels, fed by a 79kWh battery in SWB variants, and an 86kWh pack in the LWB body – good for between 422 and 452km of driving range, respectively.

The all-wheel drive ID. Buzz GTX delivers a total of 250kW and 590Nm from dual electric motors, and a driving range of 450km.

While the ID. Buzz Pro SWB and LWB can cover the 0-100km sprint in a claimed 7.6 and 7.9 seconds respectively, the GTX drops that to 6.4 seconds.

The 2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz range is available to order now, with deliveries expected to begin in September 2026.
