Cupra Terramar deals: Spanish SUV gets drive-away pricing and finance offers

Cupra Australia is advertising deals on its Terramar mid-size SUV, with drive-away offers and finance deals available through to the end of September.

The entry-level Cupra Terramar S and mid-spec Terramar V can be had with the Leather and Sound Pack free of charge – usually a $1600 option for both variants. This package adds Deep Burgundy leather-appointed upholstery, as well as a 12-speaker Sennheiser premium audio system.

Further, the entire Terramar lineup is now available with a 5.85 per cent comparison rate when financed with Cupra Choice, which in the case of the mild-hybrid S equates to $199 per week.

Note, the finance offer requires a 10 per cent deposit, and the 36-month term has a 30,000km mileage allowance. Guaranteed future value is also included as part of the financing package, with the Terramar S valued at $29,846 at the end of the term.

Despite playing in Australia's biggest and most competitive new-vehicle segment in terms of sales, the Terramar hasn't quite enjoyed the same success as its Volkswagen Group platform-mates – namely the Volkswagen Tiguan on which it's based and the Audi Q3 alongside which it's built.

To the end of July in 2026, the Terramar has notched up 293 registrations according to VFACTS new-vehicle sales data, amounting to a little over 10 per cent of the related Tiguan's 2088 sales in the same period. The Audi Q3 has recently gone through a generational overhaul, and the premium compact SUV returned 1245 registrations during the January-July period.

It's worth noting that while Cupra is headquartered in Martorell, Spain, just out of Barcelona, the Terramar – which replaced the Ateca – is assembled alongside the new Audi Q3 in Hungary.

Cupra Australia sales are down 31 per cent year-to-date, with 1211 vehicles delivered to the end of July. Part of the drop in volume was due to the model changeover for the Formentor crossover, which was in runout for the first six months of 2026 until the facelifted range belatedly arrived about a month ago.

The Cupra Terramar S is powered by the Volkswagen Group's 110kW/250Nm 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology, and drives its front wheels via a seven-speed 'DSG' dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Cupra Terramar V ups outputs to 150kW/320Nm from a larger 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, driving all four wheels via a seven-speed DSG.

Atop the range are the VZ and VZe, the former getting a more powerful 195kW/400Nm version of the V's 2.0 TSI motor, while the VZe pairs the 1.5 TSI of the S with a transmission-mounted electric motor and 25.8kWh (gross) lithium-ion battery pack for total system outputs of 200kW/400Nm, and an electric driving range of over 100km per charge.
