BMW X3 recalled

BMW is recalling more than 100 examples of its X3 mid-size SUV as its rear head restraints may not stay in place.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the outer head restraints of the rear row seats may not be manufactured correctly,” the company says in its recall notice.

“As a result, they may move or detach from the seat in an event of an accident.

“If the head restraints move or become detached, it could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”

• A total of 113 vehicles are affected, produced between 2024 and 2025

If you own an affected vehicle, BMW advises you to schedule an appointment immediately with one of its dealerships to have the outer rear head restraints replaced, free of charge.
