The Mazda BT-50 ute range has grown to include a new mid-range LE variant, which includes a range of Mazda Genuine Accessories.

It’s on sale now and will be available in showrooms nationwide from February.

It’s based on the XTR and will be available exclusively as a dual-cab pickup in Ingot Silver metallic paint, priced at $64,295 before on-road costs.

That represents a saving of around $2500 over specifying the same accessories separately on an XTR.

The only powertrain available is the 3.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine producing 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque, mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The added accessories comprise a single hooped polished alloy bull bar, a polished sports bar that includes an integrated brake light, and a heavy-duty tub liner.

They’re covered by the same five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty as the vehicle itself.

While the ‘LE’ suffix typically denotes a permanent member of the Mazda line-up with more luxury features – see the CX-3 Akari LE, CX-8 Asaki LE and CX-9 Azami LE – in this case it doesn’t include any additional creature comforts over the standard XTR.

Being based on the XTR, the following equipment comes standard:

    • LED headlights with auto levelling
    • LED front fog lights and daytime running lights
    • Side steps
    • Power-folding exterior mirrors
    • Keyless entry
    • Dual-zone climate control
    • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter
    • Rear air vents
    • Rear centre armrest
    • Cloth upholstery
    • 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
      • Wired Android Auto
      • Wireless Apple CarPlay
      • DAB+ digital radio

As with all automatic BT-50 models, there’s also a full suite of safety and driver assist technology which includes:

    • Autonomous emergency braking
    • Blind-spot monitoring
    • Lane-departure warning
    • Lane-keep assist
    • Rear cross-traffic alert
    • Adaptive cruise control with stop/go
    • Front, front-side and curtain airbags
    • Driver’s knee airbag
    • Front-centre airbag
