Toyota Australia has recalled the 2020 Supra to fix a problem with the resin fuel tank.

“An incorrect manufacturing process may cause the vehicle’s resin fuel tank to leak,” Toyota says in its recall notice.

“A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a vehicle fire. If this was to occur, there is an increased risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

    • A total of three vehicles are affected by the recall
    • Affected vehicles were sold between September 5 and December 2, 2019
    • A VIN list for the affected cars is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Toyota Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
