The 2020 Lexus GS is available in seven different models with prices ranging from $75,202 before on-road costs for the base GS300 Luxury to $155,582 for the GS F.
The current generation of Lexus’s BMW 5 Series rival was first introduced in 2012 and facelifted in 2016.
Though it’s sized similarly to the newer Lexus ES, that model is front-wheel drive and comes only with a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain while the GS is rear-wheel drive and offers a sprawling range of engines and trim levels.

All prices exclude on-road costs

The 2020 Lexus GS300 uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 180kW and 350Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Lexus GS350 uses a naturally-aspirated 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 232kW and 380Nm, also mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Lexus GS450h is a hybrid, mating a naturally-aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 215kW and 352Nm to a continuously-variable transmission (CVT), a nickel-metal hydride battery and an electric motor with 147kW and 275Nm. Total system output is 254kW.
The 2020 Lexus GS F uses a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 351kW and 530Nm and mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2020 Lexus GS300 consumes 8.0L/100km on the combined cycle, while the 2020 Lexus GS350 consumes 9.3L/100km on the ADR combined city and highway cycle.
The pricier powertrains are a study in contrasts – the 2020 Lexus GS450h consumes 6.3L/100km on the ADR combined city and highway cycle while the GS F consumes 11.3L/100km.
All Lexus GS models require 95RON premium unleaded fuel except for the GS F, which requires 98RON premium unleaded.
All 2020 Lexus GS models measure 4880mm long (4915mm in the GS F), 1455mm tall and 1840mm wide, and have 520L of luggage space.

All 2020 Lexus GS models come standard with autonomous emergency braking with forward-collision warning and pedestrian detection, as well as lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, anti-lock brakes, and front, front-side, front-knee and curtain airbags.
