Ford Australia has recalled the 2020 Transit and Transit Custom vans to fix a problem with the front lower control arms.

According to the company, the control arms might contain incomplete welds which could make them fracture.

If the part fractures the lower control arm could separate, increasing the risk drivers will lose control of the vehicle.

    • A total of 344 vehicles are included in the recall from model year 2020.
    • A VIN list of affected Transits is attached here
    • A VIN list of affected Transit Customs is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Ford Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
