MG fights back in the battle for Australia's cheapest new car
MG has slashed prices for entry-level versions of its MG 3, MG 5 and HS, with sharper runout pricing also available for the ZST.

2020 MG ZST
The new MG ZST is a small SUV offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $21,990 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Vibe variant and topping out at $33,990 for the Essence.
There are 4 variants of the ZST available in Australia and this generation went on sale in February of 2025.
Engine options include 1.5L in-line (84kW/150Nm), 1.3L turbo (115kW/230Nm), 1.5L multi-point injection (84kW/150Nm) and 1.3L turbo petrol direct injection (115kW/230Nm). Available with variable sp automatic or 6-speed automatic transmissions. All variants feature front-wheel drive.
The new 2025 ZST is offered with a 10 year, 250,000 km warranty.
