The new Ford Transit is a Van Over 3.5t offered in Single Panel Van, Single Cab Chassis and Single bus body styles. Available in Australia from $32,990 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $49,990 for the Base.

Engine options include 2.3L multi-point injection (104kW/206Nm), 2.4L turbo diesel common rail (103kW/375Nm) and 2.2L turbo diesel common rail (81kW/285Nm). Available with 5-speed manual or 6-speed manual transmissions. Both rear-wheel drive and front-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2006 Transit is offered with a 3 year, 100,000 km warranty.
