Ford Australia is recalling a trio of models – the Mustang Mach-E, Transit Custom and Transit – as their high-beam lights may not work properly.
"Due to a manufacturing defect, Advanced Driver Assistance System may not operate as intended. This may cause unintended activation or deactivation of the high beam lamps," the company says in its recall notice.
"High beam lamps not operating as intended could reduce the driver’s visibility and other road users may be unable to identify the vehicle in dark conditions. Additionally, sudden glare to oncoming traffic could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.
"The affected vehicles do not comply with Australian Design Rule (ADR) 13/00 - Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles."

If you own an affected vehicle, Ford Australia will contact you once a fix is available. You'll then need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Ford dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Ford Australia's Customer Relationship Centre on 13 36 73.
