Porsche has revealed a new colour that will distinguish its high-performance Turbo models from the rest of the range.
Turbonite, which is a metallic grey tone with golden undertones and satin highlights, has been “carefully composed” by Porsche Colour & Trim experts and will replace the golden elements on current Turbo models.
Porsche has confirmed Turbonite will be exclusively reserved for Turbo models, with the first model to adopt this new colour being the new Panamera Turbo set to debut on November 24.
“We now want to make the Turbo even more visible, and differentiate it more markedly from other derivatives such as the GTS,” said Porsche chief designer Michael Mauer.

“This is why we’ve developed a distinctive Turbo aesthetic. From now on, the Turbo versions will exhibit a consistent appearance across all model series – one that is elegant, high-quality and very special.”
Forthcoming Porsche Turbo models will receive Turbonite on the rear and window trims. It’s also the dominant colour on the recently redesigned Porsche crest which will feature on the front, alloy wheels and steering wheel.
Depending on the model, Turbonite paintwork could also feature on the inlays in the front apron, as well as the spokes of the alloy wheels.

In addition, Turbonite will feature on the interior trim strips, seat belt straps, drive mode switch, air conditioning control panel, depending on the model.
In combination with a black interior, Turbonite is also being used as a contrasting colour for the seat stitching, door panel trims, instrument panel, and floor mats.
At this stage it’s unclear if Porsche has any plans to introduce special distinguishing colours for any other of its variants, including GTS.
