The Porsche Panamera has come in for a nationwide product safety recall due to a potential side airbag issue.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the wiring harness between the door pressure sensor and the airbag control unit has an incorrect connector pin allocation,” says Porsche in its recall notice.
“An incorrectly assigned sensor can delay the side airbag trigger in crash situations. A delayed trigger of the side airbag can increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”
