The 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has been recalled to fix a problem with its alternator and steering wiring.

Mercedes-Benz has recalled the 2021 Sprinter van to fix a problem with the alternator and steering wiring.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the alternator wiring and the electric steering wiring may not be installed correctly. The wiring harness could be damaged due to being overloaded and could result in a vehicle fire,” the brand says in its recall notice.
“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders, and/or damage to property.”
- A total of 57 cars are included in the recall
- A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here

Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
