The Hyundai i30 Sedan N TCRwill debut in Gran Turismo 7 as part of an update for the legendary game in January 2026, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Hyundai’s N performance arm.
Hyundai announced the news at the Gran Turismo World Series 2025 Final in Fukuoka, Japan, more than a decade after the N division was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt motor show.
The N division, named after the Namyang district in South Korea, is responsible for Hyundai’s performance-focused models in much the same way as BMW’s M, Mercedes-Benz’s AMG and Nissan’s Nismo divisions.
“We are proud to announce the launch of the i30 Sedan N TCR in Gran Turismo 7 at the Gran Turismo World Series 2025 World Final,” said Joon Park, Hyundai N brand vice president, in a statement.

“This milestone marks the 10th anniversary of Hyundai N and our enduring collaboration with [Gran Turismo 7 creator] Polyphony Digital, reaffirming our commitment to bringing the thrill of racing to enthusiasts worldwide.”
The i30 Sedan N TCR is the motorsport version of the i30 Sedan N, which competes in the global TCR (Touring Car Racing) category, including three FIA TCR World Tour drivers’ championships.
It has also won two Australian TCR drivers’ titles with Josh Buchan in 2023 and 2024.
A special road-going i30 Sedan N TCR was launched overseas in late 2024 but has not yet made it to the Australian lineup.
The showroom version of the i30 Sedan is sold under the Elantra name overseas, with the i30 Sedan N TCR to be called the ‘Elantra N TCR’ in Gran Turismo 7.

The first vehicle from Hyundai’s N division was the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, a 650kW mid-engined, hydrogen-powered concept revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
It also appeared in Gran Turismo Sport, which was announced in 2015 and released two years later.
Hyundai N currently has four N models in Australian showrooms, with the i30 Sedan N sold alongside the i20 N and i30 N hatches, as well as the Ioniq 5 N electric performance model.
In 2026, the Ioniq 6 N is due to launch in Australia.
Hyundai Motor Company’s luxury brand, Genesis, will also launch its first performance model locally with the arrival of the GV60 Magma early next year.
