Genesis is recalling more than 2000 examples of its GV70 and GV80 crossover SUVs and G80 sedan as a manufacturing defect could potentially lead to a fire.

"Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pipe connecting fuel rails may become loose. This may lead to a fuel leak and in the presence of an external ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire," the company says in its recall notice.

"A vehicle fire could cause injury or death to the vehicle occupants, other road users and/or damage to property."

    • A total of 2299 vehicles are affected across the GV70, G80 and GV80 lines, produced between 2020 and 2025
    • The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list is attached here
