Ford Australia has issued a stop sale for the Transit van, including the all-electric E-Transit, and Transit bus models following a recent recall due to an issue with the reversing camera.
This recall affects 1559 Transit van and Transit bus models with model years from MY22.5 to MY24.
“The stop sale relates to the rear-view camera where in affected vehicles, customers may intermittently experience either a rear camera blue image or a full blue or black image on the SYNC screen when reverse gear is selected,” said a Ford Australia spokesperson.
“We have asked our dealer network to cease sale or demonstration of any new in-stock vehicles involved in this recall.

“Ford will contact affected owners in writing requesting they make an appointment at their preferred Ford Authorised Dealership for inspection and repair, free of charge.”
A Ford Australia spokesperson has said the arrival of parts and commencement of the repair will occur in January 2024.
In the meantime Ford dealer can still take orders for the Transit and E-Transit, though these vehicles won’t be sold and given to customers until the recall has been completed.
