Ford Australia is recalling 110 examples of the Ranger ute and Everest SUV to fix an issue that may cause the remote controls for dealer-fitted ARB winches to not work properly.
This recall affects current-generation Ford Ranger and Everest models produced between 2021 and 2022.
“The internal circuit board of the remote control for ARB/WARN VR EVO winches can corrode if exposed to water,” said the company in its recall notice.
“Corrosion of the remote control’s circuit board may cause the winch’s cable to stop, wind up or release unexpectedly.”

If you own an affected vehicle, Ford will contact you in writing to make an appointment at your preferred Ford dealer for replacement of the remote control, free of charge.
If you have further questions you can contact Ford’s Customer Relationship Centre on 133 673.
