Ford Australia has cut the pricing of its Mustang Mach-E electric SUV by up to $7000 before customer deliveries even begin.

Pricing now starts at $72,990 before on-roads for the Mustang Mach-E Select, and extends to $104,990 before on-roads for the flagship Mustang Mach-E GT.

A full breakdown of 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E pricing and how much it has changed is at the bottom of this story.

This new pricing means the Mustang Mach-E Premium now sits below the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, and qualifies for the Fringe Benefits Tax exemption when purchased through a novated lease.

Despite the price cut to the Mustang Mach-E, it’s still a little more expensive than the Tesla Model Y which is its closest rival and currently the top-selling electric vehicle (EV) in Australia.

The Model Y currently starts at $65,400 before on-roads for the base RWD, and extends to $91,400 before on-roads for the Performance.

The first Australian customer deliveries of the Ford Mustang Mach-E are set to commence in December.

“This price reduction is a major positive for our customers and demonstrates our commitment to delivering the best products and great value to our customers,” said Ford Australia president and CEO Andrew Birkic.

“As the EV market continues to evolve, we are responding to it.”

The Ford Mustang Mach-E Select is powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 198kW of power and 430Nm of torque. It’s fed by a 71kWh battery pack and has a WLTP claimed range of 470km.

The mid-range Mustang Mach-E Premium is powered by a more powerful single rear-mounted electric motor producing 216kW and 430Nm. It’s fed by a larger 91kWh battery pack with a WLTP claimed range of 600km.

The flagship Mustang Mach-E GT is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup with system outputs of 358kW and 860Nm. It’s fed by a 91kWh battery pack with a WLTP claimed range of 490km.
