Interested in a Volkswagen Tiguan?

For 2024, Volkswagen Australia is removing all diesel variants from its Tiguan line-up and adding more safety tech to Elegance and R-Line variants.

Also not returning for 2024 are the special Tiguan R Grid Edition and Monochrome models.

All models returning for 2024 receive price increases of between $1100 and $2600, which on some variants is partially offset by additional standard equipment.

Earlier this year, Volkswagen revealed its next-generation Tiguan. It’s expected to arrive into Australia in late 2024 as a 2025 model. The brand’s local division will continue to sell the current-generation Tiguan until then.

For 2024, the current Tiguan Elegance and R-Line gain blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which had been removed due to component shortages in 2022.

A power tailgate becomes standard for Elegance and R-Line models, previously a $600 option. Customers purchasing the Life can choose to option a power tailgate for $600.

Pricing for the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan now opens at $43,990 before on-road costs (+$1100) for the base 110TSI Life.

The flagship performance Tiguan R receives the highest price increase of $2600 and is now priced at $73,709 before on-road costs, however it now features a Harman Kardon sound system as standard. This was previously a $1100 option.

The Volkswagen Tiguan competes in the medium SUV segment and rivals the Toyota RAV4Mazda CX-5Mitsubishi OutlanderHyundai Tucson, and the Nissan X-Trail, among others.
