Interested in a BMW Z4?

BMW is making various tweaks to the Z4 for 2023, but bucking current trends by keeping prices unchanged.

The 2023 BMW Z4 will continue to be offered in sDrive20i guise for $90,900 before on-road costs and as an M40i for $133,900 before on-roads.

The sDrive30i won’t be a part of the updated range. Customer deliveries are expected to begin in early 2023 of the 20i and M40i.

Changes are largely cosmetic, with a new exterior styling package, a new wheel design, and fresh paint colours.

The new styling package brings a new design for the kidney grille with horizontal slats, as well as new side air curtain intakes for the front apron.

The rich purple Thundernight Metallic from the new 2 Series has been added to the Z4’s palette, alongside M Portimao Blue and Skyscraper Grey.

There’s also a new 19-inch M light alloy wheel design, finished in Bicolour Jet Black matte with a ‘diamond polished’ edge.

The optional M Sport Plus package also includes BMW’s M Lights Shadow Line treatment, swapping out the chrome headlight elements with black ones.

The Z4 is mechanically unchanged for 2023. Though its Toyota Supra platform-mate has gained a manual transmission in range-topping M40i guise, it has yet to be confirmed for the Z4.

The roadster also continues to feature BMW Operating System 7, even though recent BMW introductions have included the new Operating System 8.
