Renault’s flagship trim for its Arkana coupe-SUV, the Arkana R.S. Line, has now officially joined the Australian range for the 2022 model year.

Priced from $42,090 before on-road costs, the Arkana R.S. Line sets itself apart with a number of sporty-looking additions inside and out.

The 2022 Renault Arkana R.S. Line is still powered by the 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 115kW of power and 262Nm of torque as the rest of the range.

It sends this power through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to the front wheels only. Renault claims the Arkana R.S. Line has a fuel consumption of 6.0L/100km on the combined cycle.

But on the outside, the Arkana R.S. Line receives (on top of the Intens trim) 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels with red accents, a unique front bumper design with an “F1-inspired aero blade”, R.S. Line badging, gunmetal grey door trim, as well as front and rear skid plates.

Inside, the Arkana R.S. Line has black leather and suede upholstery, R.S. Line door sills, carbon-look interior trim, alloy sports pedals, a heated leather and perforated leather steering wheel with R.S. Line badging, red and grey contrast stitching, privacy glass, ambient lighting, as well as R.S. badging throughout.

There’s also an available 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and an opening sunroof.

Metallic paint costs an additional $750 and a contrasting black roof an additional $600.

The Arkana R.S. Line has the full suite of safety features including the following:

    • Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian detection
    • Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go
    • Rear cross-traffic alert
    • Blind-spot monitoring
    • Lane departure warning
    • Lane-keeping assist
    • Traffic sign recognition

The Renault Arkana also has a five-star ANCAP safety rating based on crash testing of the Renault Captur conducted by EuroNCAP.

Just like the rest of Renault’s range, the Arkana R.S. Line is covered by a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, with five-years roadside assistance and five-years capped price servcing.

Maintenance is required every 12 months or 30,000km and over the first five years servicing your Arkana R.S. Line, just like the rest of the Arkana range, will cost a total of $2385.

Prices for the Arkana, and the rest of the Renault range, were raised as of March 1, 2022.

“Like many brands in Australia, Renault have had to increase prices due to significant material and shipping cost changes over recent months,” said Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey.

Pricing for the 2022 Renault Arkana as of March 1, 2022 is as follows:

    • 2022 Renault Arkana Zen: $34,590 (+$600)
    • 2022 Renault Arkana Intens: $38,590 (+$1100)
    • 2022 Renault Arkana R.S. Line: $42,090 (+$1100)

All prices are before on-road costs.
