This is the third generation of Porsche’s largest SUV. The brand stoked controversy wading into the SUV market at the dawn of the 21st century but its success has paved the way for SUVs from other brands known for their sports cars, such as Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Maserati.

Porsche introduced a coupe SUV version of the Cayenne with the current generation, called the Cayenne Coupe.

Cayenne GTS models are powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 338kW of power and 620Nm of torque and a 0-100km/h time of 4.8 seconds, or 4.5 seconds in the GTS Coupe.

The Cayenne Turbo has a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 with 404kW of power and 770Nm of torque and a 0-100km/h time of 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds in the Turbo Coupe).
