The 2020 Bentley Continental GT has been recalled to prevent owners from raising or lowering its roof from unsafe distances.

    “The convertible roof can be activated using the key fob at distances greater than six metres,” the company says in its recall notice.

    “At distances greater than six metres, the person opening/closing the roof may have a restricted view of the vehicle and its occupants, increasing the risk of an injury to vehicle occupants or bystanders.”

    • A total of 37 vehicles are affected.
    • Affected vehicles were available for sale from November 6, 2019 to November 12, 2020.

    Bentley is contacting owners by mail.

    If you own an affected vehicle, you can contact your Bentley dealership to arrange for your vehicle to be updated.
