The new Volkswagen Transporter is a Van Under 3.5t offered in Single Panel Van, Double Cab Chassis and Single Combi body styles. Available in Australia from $30,490 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the variant and topping out at $48,580 for the.
Engine options include 2L multi-point injection (85kW/170Nm), 2.0L multi-point injection (85kW/170Nm), 1.9L turbo diesel direct injection (75kW/250Nm), 1.9L turbo pump injection (75kW/250Nm) and 2.5L turbo pump injection (128kW/400Nm). Available with 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2009 Transporter is offered with a 3 year, 100,000 km warranty.
