Engine options include 2L multi-point injection (62kW/159Nm), 2.5L multi-point injection (81kW/190Nm) and 2.4L diesel indirect injection (57kW/164Nm). Available with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 1997 Transporter is offered with a 2 year, 60,000 km warranty.
