The new Volkswagen Touareg is a Suv Large Luxury offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $69,900 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the R5 variant and topping out at $138,500 for the V10 Tdi.

Engine options include 2.5L turbo pump injection (128kW/400Nm), 4.9L turbo pump injection (230kW/750Nm), 3.2L multi-point injection (177kW/310Nm) and 4.2L multi-point injection (228kW/410Nm). All variants feature 6-speed automatic transmission. All variants feature four-wheel drive.
The new 2005 Touareg is offered with a 3 year, 100,000 km warranty.
