Volkswagen Polo

The local Volkswagen range opens with the Polo hatchback, a name that dates back as far as the Golf's. The line belatedly arrived here in 1996.

The current car, riding Volkswagen's MQB A0 platform, was first introduced in 2018. Inside and out, the classy VW Polo looks like a shrunken Golf while, under the bonnet, there's a choice of three turbocharged engines: two 1.0-litre three-pots and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, the latter of which appears in the sporty Polo GTI.
