Volkswagen Group Australia is recalling the Volkswagen Polo hatchback and T-Cross and T-Roc crossover SUVs to fix a fault that may stop their instruments from appearing.
"Due to a software issue, the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may fail to illuminate the visual vehicle speed, fuel level and other critical safety information," the company says in its recall notice.
"If the vehicle starts and the instrument cluster remains blank, the vehicle must not be driven. Operating the vehicle without visible safety system warnings may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders."
